Road Safety School Education Program
The “Road Safety School Education Program” is an innovative and impactful initiative that aims to enhance road safety awareness among students by leveraging the potential of teachers as key influencers. Through specialized teacher training, this program seeks to create a lasting impact on road safety behavior and practices among the young generation. The programs’s distinctive features are:
- Teachers’ Training (Training of Trainers): Our program offers a specialized three-day training workshop for educators, equipping them with the essential skills and resources needed to seamlessly integrate road safety education into their regular curriculum.
- Innovative and Interactive Teaching Methods: We seamlessly incorporate innovative and interactive teaching techniques like quiz, games, competitions and creative methodologies like using songs, poems , human stories into the standard academic curriculum. Our goal is to engage students of all age groups meaningfully in imbibing norms of safe road behavior in life.
- Comprehensive Curriculum and Teacher’s Handbook: The Teacher’s Manual for the Road Safety School Education Program serves as a valuable resource for educators. It offers structured lesson plans that align with the standard curriculum, ensuring a cohesive and effective teaching approach throughout the academic year.
- Baseline and End-line Surveys: To assess the program’s impact, we conduct surveys both before and after implementation, allowing us to measure the positive changes and outcomes achieved.
BRACE Road Safety School Education Program
The BRACE School Education Program, a partnership between Muskaan Foundation and Bosch Limited, is transforming road safety awareness in Rajasthan’s government schools. By integrating road safety into the classroom, we are building a safer, more responsible generation of road users.
Core Pillars of Our Program
- Empowering Educators: We utilize a Training of Trainers (ToT) model to equip teachers with the expertise to deliver impactful road safety education.
- Active Student Engagement: Through interactive classroom sessions, we teach essential skills—from defensive road behavior and traffic rules to emergency trauma response.
- Sustainable Road Safety Clubs: We establish student-led Road Safety Clubs to foster peer learning, leadership, and long-term community advocacy.
- Data-Driven Results: We use rigorous baseline and end-line assessments to ensure measurable behavioral change and program effectiveness.
